Navigating the demands and social intricacies of higher education can be quite demanding. A 2017 report by the American Psychological Association cites that 61% of surveyed college students reported having some form of anxiety, while 49% report having depression. College counseling centers are oftentimes stretched beyond their ability to provide timely, consistent services. It therefore falls on the private practitioner to meet the ever-growing needs of this population.
